Intro to the writing process.

Writing is important to everybody in this modern day, it is important because it is everywhere in the world. What i mean is In order to communicate or get information to another place a lot of people rely on writing. Some people even have jobs that require them to write everyday such as Lawyers, Journalist, and even police officers.
This is why writing is important.

It is possible to write impartially. It might not be the easiest thing to do but it is definitely possible. it is possible because if a journalist writes all the facts and and leaves his/her opinion out of it impartial writing is guaranteed.

Ethos and Credibility

http://www.cnn.com/2012/01/05/world/meast/iraq-violence/index.html?hpt=wo_c1

Cnn wrote a article about 60 citizens slain in iraq bombings. The bombings were caused by suicide bombers were targeting shiites. The bombings renewed fears of sectarian  violence. The company that wrote this article wich is cnn would be interested in providing impartial accurate news because many people check that site to find news around the world and the people are assuming the news is going to be accurate.

I consider the company to be credible because it is a well known company for providing credible current events. the company has a website and a tv channel which is another reason i consider the company of being credible. The reporter for the article is Jomana Karadsheh. The reporter has an interest in providing acurate because it is her job to do so and if she didn't it would make the company look bad.

The reporter reported witnesses of the attacks which they openly voiced there opinion about it. People of the the military and and of the community were also reported which was good because it showed how it affected the community and what the military thought about it and what they could possibly do. The reporter was sure to use profesional language, she didn't alter the scene of where the bombing happened. You easily see Blood and damage that was caused.

Logic and Fallacies

One time I experienced the correlation and causation fallacy. It happened when I was at walmart with my friends they decided they wanted to shoplift but when i noticed them doing i walked away because i didnt want any part of what they were doing. Although i walked away from them security still assumed i was shoplifting because i walked in with them.

I know this is a logical fallacy because One thing was caused by another. wich was me coming in the store with my friends and then the security assuming I was shoplifting with them. This was a perfect example of correlation and causation.

The situation was resolved when the security told us to empty our pockets. All of my friends except one had a pocket full of things they stole, and of course my pockets were empty. The security let me and my one innocent friend go and they kept my other friends and called the police. I found a new group of friends afterwards.
